All the rooms are cleaned every single day, no exceptions.
Q - Are there telephones and televisions in the rooms?
Yes. All rooms include direct dial phones and Sky TV.
Q - Do you have a washing machine I can use? How much will it

I am afraid we don't. However, reception will be glad to arrange a laundry
pick-up for you upon request, or direct you to the nearest laundromat
(there is one within walking distance of the hotel).
Q - Do you have central heating? Is it on 24 hours a day?
Yes we do have central heating, but no, it's not on all the time. It comes
on automatically in the mornings and evenings, as most everyone is out

Q - Do rooms have tea and coffee facilities in the rooms?
Yes, they all do. What about room service? I am afraid we don't have room
service. As for other meals, you are welcome to bring take-away meals
back to your room, or to have food delivered. Reception may be able to
help arrange outside meals, upon request.
Q - Are there shops nearby open late, just to buy food?
Yes, there is a multitude of culinary delights in the area, within walking
distance of the hotel. Our reception staff will be happy to recommend
some favorites. There are a few 24 hour convenience markets nearby that
have a limited food selection, drinks, snacks, fruit etc.
Q - During what hours is reception open?
Reception closes at 11pm, reopening at 7 am in the morning. Call ahead
for arrangements if you will be arriving later than that.
Q - What is check in time?
I'm arriving in London very early and I'll want my room. Check in time
is usually 12 noon but if a room is ready sooner or is empty from the
day before you can check in as early as 7am. If you arrive before noon
and the room's not ready, you may drop off luggage at reception and return
later to check in.

in just 15 minutes. )
Q - How far is the tube station from the hotel? And how do I

It's only about 2 minutes walk from Paddington tube station to the Oxford.

The hotel is on the left hand side.
Q - How can I get to Oxford hotel when the tube closes?
If you've are out and about in the city very late, don't despair. You
can get home by Night Buses from various stops throughout London. Buses
#36, #15, and #23 stop at Praed St., and at least one of these will be
operating after hours. Late night buses are indicated by placing an N
in front of the number.
Q - Do you pick us up from the tube station?
No,The Oxford is, however, conveniently located within walking distance
of Paddington station (2 minutes), which is accessible via tube from all
airports and the trains. By the way, did you know that if 4 people are
travelling together, it's cheaper to take a taxi then taking the trains
plus the tubes ( from Gatwick airport, Stansted airport, Luton airport
& City airport, BUT NOT from Heathrow)?
Q - Do you have a pick up service from Airports?
No. However, we can recommend the cheapest taxi company in London. Just
go to http://www.airports-taxis.com/
and follow the taxi pick-up link for more details. Be aware that while
some cab companies advertise discounts and savings, the company recommended
is STILL cheaper than the rest even after their discounts. When booking
your room you may request us to arrange this taxi service for you, or
we can give you their number to call them directly.
Q - Do you have free parking?
We do not have private parking, but there is plenty of street parking
available. Please be aware, however, that many of the spaces in central
London do require a coin deposit or meter.
Q - Do you ask for any payment in advance, before arrival?
No. The credit card is simply used to secure the booking, with a 10 percent,
non-refundable booking deposit paid in advance. You pay the remainder
on arrival at reception.
Q - Is the bill payable on arrival or departure?
And can I pay by credit card? Total bill is due on arrival, because we
don't have extra costs (like phone calls, mini bar) so we know and you
know the exact cost of the total bill ahead of time. Major credit cards
are accepted, as well as cash and traveler's cheques in British Pounds.
Q - What happens if I don't have a credit card?
A credit card is required to secure your booking. You may use somebody's
else CC (with their permission) to hold the room with the 10 percent deposit,
and pay cash on arrival. If you fail to turn up, however, the card will
be charged for the first night of your stay.
Q - What about discounts? when? how?
Applications of discounts will vary depending on the time of year, holidays,
the number of people in your group, and the duration of your stay. Most
of our discounts will be advertised on the web page. Ask when making the
booking.
Q - What is VAT and is it included in the rates?
VAT stands for Value Added Tax. All rates are inclusive of VAT, unless
otherwise stated. Effectively this means that the room rate quoted is
the total price for the room, and taxes or service charge will not be
added to your bill.
Q - Do you have a computer I can use in your Hotel?
Yes, there is a coin operated internet computer in the lobby at our service.
Q - Can I receive an e-mail while staying at your hotel, without
